The Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun Student Music Competition, which has previously been for elementary, junior high, and high school students, will now have a pre-competition for preschool children in the piano division, allowing them to experience the atmosphere of a competition from a young age. There will be no rankings, but judges will provide individual feedback (comments). This will give children the joy and tension of performing on a real stage, and provide them with an opportunity for "learning and experience" different from their usual piano lessons.
