On October 21, 2026, "Twilight Classic: A Concert to Delight Your Brain" will be held at the Toyosu Civic Center Hall. The world-renowned Czech treasure, the Wihan String Quartet, will perform with accomplished pianist Ikuyo Nakayama. They will present exquisite masterpieces of Mozart and Czech music, interspersed with engaging commentary. It will be a luxurious autumn evening where you can experience the intellectual stimulation and deep healing that music brings, along with beautiful sounds. Please enjoy this superb ensemble that pleasantly stimulates the brain, in Toyosu at dusk.

The Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun Student Music Competition, which has previously been for elementary, junior high, and high school students, will now have a pre-competition for preschool children in the piano division, allowing them to experience the atmosphere of a competition from a young age. There will be no rankings, but judges will provide individual feedback (comments). This will give children the joy and tension of performing on a real stage, and provide them with an opportunity for "learning and experience" different from their usual piano lessons. We encourage you to participate.
