—Dance is prayer, and prayer becomes dance—A recital by Ryukyu dancer Maki Shida, who daily pursues the artistic value of Ryukyu dance. In Okinawa in June, the month of remembrance, a moment to weave the vibrant world of Ryukyu dance into the future.

The Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun Student Music Competition, which has previously been for elementary, junior high, and high school students, will now have a pre-competition for preschool children in the piano division, allowing them to experience the atmosphere of a competition from a young age. There will be no rankings, but judges will provide individual feedback (comments). This will give children the joy and tension of performing on a real stage, and provide them with an opportunity for "learning and experience" different from their usual piano lessons. We encourage you to participate.

The fifth installment of the "Meet Maru-chan Through Music" series. Ensemble en déa, an orchestra comprised of members of the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, presents the "Maruyama Neurology and Diabetes Clinic 2nd Anniversary Concert." Dr. Maru-chan, who is both a doctor and conductor, will deliver an exceptional performance of Beethoven's famous pieces, "Fate" and "Pastoral." The concert will be held at Ishibashi Cultural Hall in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, on August 29th (Saturday) at 2 PM.
