今年で第3回目を迎える「The 3rd Messiah in Zushi」。逗子・鎌倉・葉山の地で育まれたBaroquart混声合唱団が、ヘンデルの大作「メサイア」に込められた祈りと希望を、あなたの心に届けます。

今回は特別企画として、演奏前に「メサイア」誕生の感動的な物語をお届け。大食漢の天才ヘンデルが人生のどん底から奇跡の24日間で生み出した名作の背景を、面白おかしく、そして感動的に語ります。クラシック初心者の方も、この物語を聞けば「メサイア」がもっと身近に、もっと特別に感じられることでしょう。

Sacred sounds woven by the local spirit

This year marks the third time for "The 3rd Messiah in Zushi". The Baroquart mixed choir, nurtured in the areas of Zushi, Kamakura, and Hayama, will deliver the prayers and hopes contained in Handel's masterpiece "Messiah" to your heart.

As a special project this time, we will deliver the moving story of the birth of "Messiah" before the performance. The background of the masterpiece that the gluttonous genius Handel created in a miraculous 24 days from the lowest point of his life will be told in an amusing and moving way. Even if you are a beginner to classical music, listening to this story will make "Messiah" feel closer to you and more special.

A special afternoon surrounded by the deep tones of a professional orchestra and singing filled with local love. Together with the talented conductor Tokunaga Hiroaki and concert mistress Saburi Kyoko, we promise to put on an even more moving performance than last year.

The famous song "Hallelujah" resonates in the air, a local Messiah

The 3rd Messiah in Zushi is being held for the third time. This year, we have prepared a special "Storytelling" time before the performance.

The dramatic story of how Handel created this masterpiece at the lowest point of his life will be told with humor and emotion. From the human side of the composer who was a big eater to the secret story of how the work was completed in a miraculous 24 days. Listening to this story will make the "Hallelujah Chorus" played at the end even more moving.

Even those who are new to classical music or Messiah will feel familiar with the work through the story. The moment when the heavy sound of the professional orchestra and the warm singing voices of the Baroquart Mixed Choir, which is rooted in the Zushi, Kamakura, and Hayama areas, come together will surely be an unforgettable memory.
