Masumi Yamamoto

Jazz pianist, composer
 

Born in Niigata Prefecture. After graduating from Kanagawa University, he moved to Los Angeles and signed with Fortress USA Records.

As a composer and arranger, he has created music for popular television shows such as NBC's America's Got Talent.

As a singer-songwriter, he reached number 4 on Billboard Magazine's Hip-Hop R&B chart in the United States.

He formed the jazz group "TLQ plus," which performs in Los Angeles, California, and throughout the United States. Masumi and TLQ plus's first tour of Japan in 2024 was a huge success, with all shows sold out.

He is also passionate about nurturing children, spreading the message of "Believe Yourself" through outreach activities at elementary and junior high schools in his hometown of Niigata Prefecture.
