Masumi Yamamoto

Jazz pianist, composer
 

Born in Niigata Prefecture. After graduating from Kanagawa University, he moved to Los Angeles and signed with Fortress USA Records.

As a composer and arranger, he has worked on music for popular TV shows such as NBC's America's Got Talent.

As a singer-songwriter, he reached No. 4 on the Hip Hop R&B chart in the US's Billboard Magazine.

He formed the jazz group "TLQ plus" and has performed in Los Angeles, California and throughout the US. Masumi and TLQ plus's first tour of Japan in 2024 was a success, with all shows sold out.

He is also very passionate about nurturing children, and conveys the message "Believe Yourself" through outreach activities at elementary and junior high schools in his hometown of Niigata Prefecture.
