overview
The 1966 Quartet, a female quartet that expresses Western music with classical techniques, will perform a number of Beatles classics. With their sophisticated arrangements and solid performance skills, they will breathe new life into classic songs that have been loved throughout the ages.
This time, there will also be a valuable pre-talk by Takashima Hiroyuki (brother of actor Takashima Tadao and father of violinist Takashima Chisako), the legendary director who introduced the Beatles to Japan and created a "Beatles whirlwind" across the country.
There will also be a special exhibition of Beatles-related merchandise on the day.

The 1966 Quartet is a female quartet that uses classical music techniques to cover Western artists' songs with unique arrangements. They made their CD debut in 2010 with "Norwegian Wood: The Beatles Classics," and have since released classics by Michael Jackson, Queen, and others. In 2013, they released "HELP!", and in 2014 successfully recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios and performed in Liverpool to rave reviews. In 2023, they performed Beatles songs at the KENZO fashion show in Paris, attracting attention both in Japan and abroad.

- Risa Matsuura (Violin Leader)
A graduate of Kyoto City University of Arts. She has won numerous competitions, including third place at the Osaka International Music Competition. With her solid technique and rich expressiveness, she powerfully leads the group. She is a virtuoso who breathes new life into classical covers, playing with the soul of rock. Yuki Hanai (Violin) Graduated from the Tokyo College of Music and completed its graduate school. She made her debut in 2010 with the simultaneous release of two CDs. In addition to appearing on television and radio, she is also active in a variety of fields, including as a designer for the fashion brand "PANORMO" and writing an online column. She supports the ensemble with her lyrical playing and delicate expression. Minori Masuda (Piano) Graduated from the Tokyo College of Music's Piano Performance Course. Completed a Master's program at the Mannes College of Music in New York. Active as a soloist, she supports the quartet with her rich expression and stable performance. She has been a current member since 2018. Fumie Kato (Cello) *Support Member Born in Kyoto City. Graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts and completed its graduate school. She graduated with honors from the Conservatoire de la Ville de Paris. She has won numerous awards in domestic and international competitions. She has performed with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, and others, and made her solo debut in 2020 with the CD "Parfum." He also worked as a CHANEL Pygmalion Days artist.
Pre-talk speakers:
Takashima Hiroyuki (born 1934). He served as director in charge of the Beatles at Toshiba Records, and created a "Beatles whirlwind" throughout Japan. He has since become a leading figure in the music industry, producing numerous popular classical artists.
