As a stage art woven from piano and string performances, narration, Noh dance, and ballet, "The Tale of Genji" is revived in the modern age, transcending a thousand years.

We will perform pieces from a collection of works composed based on all 54 chapters of "The Tale of Genji," depicting the feelings and scenes of the characters that color each chapter.

From Chapter 1 "Kiritsubo": "Kiritsubo no Kōi" and "Kōkiden no Nyōgo"
From Chapter 5 "Wakamurasaki": "Murasaki no Ue" and "Aoi no Ue"
From Chapter 21 "Otome": "Kumoi no Kari" and "Yūgiri"
From Chapter 26 "Tokonatsu": "Ōmi no Kimi" and "Naidaijin," and others are planned. (※Subject to change) In addition to performances by piano and string quartet, the stage production will bring to life the world of "The Tale of Genji" in a three-dimensional way through commentary by Mitsuyo Tsunoda, narration by Eisuke Shinoi, dance by Kazuma Tatsumi, and ballet by Braulio Alvarez.
