After "Dream Festival" was completed, every time a preview was held in Tokyo, I lost count of the number of questions and compliments I heard from people in the film industry in Tokyo who were not yet familiar with Maki Ryosuke, such as, "What kind of background does the actor who played Bosama have?", "What a wonderful performance," and "He has an incredible presence."
Like the shamisen instructor, Yamagami-san, Maki-san, in true Tsugaru style, took on the most difficult and damaging role, persevered to the very end, and delivered the best possible performance. (Omitted)
Every human being needs someone scary somewhere, and for me, Mr. Maki will always be a scary person that I will never forget.
And in the town of Aomori, the story of Maki Ryosuke and the Dabiyon Theater will surely be passed down as a legend for a long time to come.

Noriko Awaya, Shuji Terayama, and Tsugaru shamisen player Chikuzan Takahashi are all said to be representatives of the Tsugaru people, but Maki-san made me feel the Tsugaru spirit more than anyone else. Kappei-san may be blowing the winds of Tsugaru with ease, but since it's just wind, Tsugaru is only something that goes in that direction, but Maki-san's impact is different, as he brings the land of Tsugaru directly into his music.
If you want to see Maki's Tsugaru, you should actually go to Dabiyon Theater.
