Call for Submitters and Participants for the 2026 Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun Tanka Competition! The submission method will change this year! We will be hosting the 2026 Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun Tanka Competition with Mr. Takeshi Kuroiwa (President of the Japan Tanka Poets Club, Chief Editor and Selection Committee Member of "Kokoro no Hana"). The event will include a commemorative lecture, recitation, and critiques. We look forward to many submissions and participation.

"Elephant Holiday" Powerful music that shakes the African continent! A moving adventure story about finding what's truly important. Story: The setting is a beautiful elephant sanctuary in Africa. Baby elephant Geer sets off into the wild under the cover of night, following the song of his mother, which was stolen by poachers. Following Geer are three people: a mysterious girl who can hear people's hearts, a researcher who protects lives, and a ranger with a secret. "Who Will Take the Egg?" Story: A very mysterious egg appears before Marta, the witch's child. The Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun Student Music Competition, established with the aim of developing and promoting classical music culture, has a long history and has produced numerous musicians and performers from among its alumni, as well as nurturing promising individuals who are active on the front lines of society.
