overview
A four-piece band formed in Okinawa in April 2005. Their sound is a mix of Okinawan scale, rock, and reggae, and their messages are conveyed through simple words, making them popular across generations. They debuted in February 2006 with the mini-album "Koibito yo". Their song "Amma", which directly expresses their gratitude to their mother, resonated with many people and won them the Newcomer Award at the Japan Cable Awards. This year marks the 19th anniversary of their debut, and they continue to sing "shima uta" (island songs) unique to the Okinawan band, to the whole country.
