Various aspects of "banquets" reflected in Noh
~The second installment of the Banquet series~
The Kawasaki Noh Theatre's "Banquet" series in 2025 will present various aspects of "banquets" reflected in Noh through three performances throughout the year. The third and final installment will feature "Shunkan," which depicts the deep despair of the monk Shunkan, who is stranded on a deserted island, and "Senju," a fleeting moment in which Senju, comforting the imprisoned Taira no Shigehira, weaves together the koto and sake.
【Part 1】
Kyogen "Bunzou" by Yamamoto Taitaro (Okura School)
Noh "Shunkan" by Kanze Yasuhide (Kanze School)
【Part 2】
Kyogen "Magnet" by Yamamoto Taitaro (Okura School)
Noh "Senju Yōkyoku no Mai" by Tanabe Tetsuhisa (Kanze School) and Okamoto Fusao (Kanze School)
◎ Kawasaki City Regular Noh Pre-Lecture
Noh actors appearing in the performance will provide easy-to-understand explanations of the plays to be performed and the relationship between "Sake Banquet" and Noh.
Date and Time: Saturday, March 7th, 1:30pm - 3:00pm
Venue: Kawasaki Noh Theatre

Fee: 500 yen
