overview
We Swim in the Air, Spreading the Wings of Imagination - England, 1924. After falling in love with a married man and giving birth to an unwanted child, Persephone is deemed a social misfit and imprisoned in a "mental rehabilitation facility." There, she meets Dora, who has also been imprisoned there for smoking cigars and behaving in an overly masculine manner. Despite their long imprisonment, they maintain their sense of humor and use their rich imaginations to survive admirably. Drifting between reality and delusion... This is a deeper rendition of "Air Swimming," a play by Irotoridori no Hana that was well-received in 2024. With great passion and prayer, we once again question the dignity of humanity.
