赤坂芸術祭参加作品　　東京舞台芸術祭実行委員会2026 Open Call Programs

ミュージカル作品「囚われの女たち」は、昭和の女性解放運動活動家、小説家の山代巴の戦前の獄中を描きました。山代巴は「荷車の唄」「この世界の片隅で」の編著者としても知られています。

　今回の上演作品：SideB フロン・ポピュレーは、そのスピンオフ作品、主人公は山代巴の夫・山代吉宗です。若くして死んだ吉宗の常磐炭坑ストライキと、若い女性労働者の活躍を描いたミュージカルです。ゴスペルと炭鉱の労働歌、J,Sバッハのサウンドが合体し、わらび座、劇団四季や新劇劇団で活躍したベテラン女優と若手の渾身の歌声がドラマを盛り上げます。ダンサブルで、生演奏も含めたライブ感でミュージカルの魅力をお楽しみください。まさに昭和のレ・ミゼラブルの誕生です。女性の解放を求めた人々、生きる喜びを追求した歴史を、女性だけの出演者で表現します。楽しみながら、知ってください。

Akasaka Arts Festival Participating Works Tokyo Performing Arts Festival Executive Committee 2026 Open Call Programs

The musical "The Imprisoned Women" depicts the pre-war prison life of Yamashiro Tomoe, a Showa-era women's liberation activist and novelist. Yamashiro Tomoe is also known as the editor of "The Cart Song" and "In This Corner of the World."

This performance: Side B Front Populé is a spin-off of that work, with Yamashiro Tomoe's husband, Yamashiro Yoshimune, as the protagonist. It is a musical depicting the Joban coal mine strike by Yoshimune, who died young, and the activities of young female workers. Gospel, coal mine workers' songs, and the sound of J.S. Bach are combined, and the passionate singing voices of veteran actresses who have been active in Warabi-za, Shiki Theatre Company and Shingeki Theatre Company, as well as young talents, enhance the drama. Enjoy the charm of the musical with its danceable style and live feel, including live music. This is truly the birth of the Showa-era Les Misérables. This performance, featuring an all-female cast, portrays the history of those who sought women's liberation and pursued the joy of living. Enjoy and learn about it.
