「春秋座でしか観られない舞台」をテーマに、選りすぐりの演目、出演者で2012年より隔年開催してきた琉球芸能春秋座特別公演。琉球王朝時代の式楽「組踊」、「琉球舞踊」に加え、近年は明治以降に生まれた「沖縄芝居」も取り上げ、時代の変遷とともに脈々とうけつがれる琉球芸能の魅力をお届けしてきました。
8回目を数える2026年度は、琉球舞踊と共に、「沖縄芝居」四大歌劇として知られる『奥山の牡丹』を上演します。身分に隔てられつつも互いに想いあう人と人との情愛に心打たれる名作、多彩な琉球舞踊をぜひご堪能ください。

With the theme of "A performance that can only be seen at Shunjuza," the Ryukyu Performing Arts Shunjuza Special Performance has been held every other year since 2012, featuring a carefully selected program and performers. In addition to the ceremonial music of the Ryukyu Dynasty, "Kumiodori," and "Ryukyu Dance," in recent years the theater has also featured "Okinawa plays," which were born after the Meiji period, and has delivered the charm of Ryukyu performing arts that has been passed down through the generations as the times have changed.
In 2026, the eighth year of the festival, we will be performing "Okuyama no Peony," one of the four major operas of "Okinawa Shibai," along with Ryukyu dance. Please enjoy this moving masterpiece that depicts the love between people who care for each other despite the differences in their social status, as well as the diverse Ryukyu dance.
