三十余年の知己である小泉八雲曾孫で民俗学者・小泉凡氏が、ハーンが死の間際に沖縄に移り住みたいと思っていたという史実から導きだした「アイルランドと沖縄　響きあう水と精霊の⺠俗信仰」という小論に賛同。沖縄を描いた作品、小泉八雲を描いた作品をもつ燐光群が放つ架空の歴史です。
病に倒れたハーンが、彼が念願していた沖縄に行くことで一命をとりとめ、そのまま沖縄に移り住みます。ハーンと沖縄の出会い。日本社会に偏狭な排外主義を喧伝する人たちも出てきている現在、「異文化の出会い」は豊かな化学反応を起こすでしょう。

I agree with the essay "Ireland and Okinawa: The Resonating Folk Beliefs of Water and Spirits," written by Mr. Koizumi Bon, a folklorist and great-grandson of Lafcadio Hearn, whom I have known for over 30 years, and who derived this from the historical fact that Hearn wanted to move to Okinawa on his deathbed. This is a fictional history presented by Rinko-gun, who have works depicting Okinawa and works depicting Lafcadio Hearn.
Hearn, who had fallen ill, recovered his life by going to Okinawa, a place he had longed to visit, and he moved there permanently. Hearn's encounter with Okinawa. In today's society, where there are people who spread narrow-minded xenophobia, such "encounters with different cultures" will surely produce a rich chemical reaction.
