予備知識が無くても楽しめる横浜能楽堂の人気企画「眠くならずに楽しめる能の名曲」。今回は、聟が舅への土産に持参した酒をめぐる船上でのやりとりが面白い狂言「舟渡聟」と、前半の静御前の美しい舞、後半の平知盛の霊の迫力ある動き、一曲で能の対照的な魅力を堪能できる「船弁慶」。“船”を題材にした二曲をお届けします。上演前には芸術監督・中村雅之によるお話、上演中には多言語解説字幕もあり、初めての方でも安心してご覧いただける公演です。

Yokohama Noh Theatre's popular program, "Noh Masterpieces You Can Enjoy Without Getting Sleepy," is enjoyable even without prior knowledge. This time, we present "Funato Muko," a kyogen play about a humorous exchange on a boat over sake that a son-in-law has brought as a gift for his father-in-law, and "Funa Benkei," a play that allows you to enjoy the contrasting charms of Noh in one piece, with the beautiful dance of Shizuka Gozen in the first half and the powerful movements of the spirit of Taira no Tomomori in the second half. We will present two plays that use "boats" as a theme. There will be a talk by artistic director Masayuki Nakamura before the performance, and multilingual explanatory subtitles will be available during the performance, so even first-time viewers can enjoy the show with ease.
