Six up-and-coming rakugo storytellers will compete in a heated battle of storytelling skills. The judges will be the audience! Your vote could change the fate of a rakugo storyteller. Look forward to the moment a new star is born! Past grand prize winners include Hayashiya Taihei (3rd), Katsura Bunji (7th), Kokontei Kikunojo (8th), Yanagiya Sansan (9th), and Shunputei Ichinosuke (19th), all of whom are currently very popular storytellers. With a history of over 30 years, this is a gateway for young rakugo storytellers and is considered one of the "three major young rakugo storyteller competitions," alongside the "Sagamihara Young Rakugo Storyteller Championship" and the "NHK Newcomer Rakugo Grand Prize."

The contemporary music ensemble "Tokyo Genon Keikaku" presents its first concert of the year. Aki Kuroda returns to the Musicians' Selection, where the members themselves handle the programming. She will be focusing on the works of composer Yuji Takahashi, with whom she has had a long and close relationship.

La VENIDERA – “The Coming” As their name suggests, these two dancers are pioneering new horizons in Spanish dance and flamenco. Their work "NO," which they presented after leaving the Spanish National Ballet, won the critics' award from Spanish national radio. It has been performed throughout Europe and is attracting considerable attention. During their time with the Spanish National Ballet, they left a vivid impression in Marcos Morau's production of "Afanador." With this work, they have welcomed Marcos Morau as artistic supervisor and have embarked on a new path. Don't miss this moment in their career!
