overview
The "Kuwata Takashi Noh Festival," established by Kanze-ryu Noh performer Kuwata Takashi for the purpose of refining his art,
is held once a year at the Kanze Noh Theater in Ginza. A carefully selected program of Noh pieces will be performed to further hone his craft.
"Izutsu" is the story of the first love of Ariwara no Narihira, a rare and handsome nobleman.
"Izutsu" is based on the 23rd section of the Tales of Ise, a bittersweet story of pure love.
The author, Zeami, praised it as "the finest flower" and it is said to be the greatest masterpiece of the wig-wearing genre.
