狂言（大蔵流）【 文相撲 】

召使いがたった一人だけの大名は、新しい使用人を雇おうと太郎冠者に探しに行かせます。ちょうどご奉公先を探している男と出会い、大喜びで連れて帰る太郎冠者。男はどんな仕事もこなせるとの触れ込みです。相撲も取れると聞き、大名は見たくてたまらなくなりますが、相手がいないので、自ら相撲を取ろうと立ち上がります。召使いが大勢いるように見せかけたり、新参の男の忠誠心を試そうとする見栄っ張りな大名、どうしても負けられない勝負に是が非でも勝つため、秘策を練ります。

能（観世流）

【 鸚鵡小町 】

和歌を愛する帝・陽成院は優れた歌を選んで集めようとしますが、思うように集まりません。ふとかつて大歌人として名を馳せた小野小町を思い出し、新大納言行家に歌を託して小町へ使いを出します。しかし百歳となった小町は、近江国関寺で物乞いの狂女となって侘しい暮らしをしていました。もはや目が見えない小町の代わりに行家が帝の歌を読んで聞かせると、小町は昔の栄華を思い出し、古法の鸚鵡返しの技法を使って返歌を詠みます。そして在し日の在原業平の美しい姿を思い出し舞を舞いました。やがて沈む夕陽の中帰路に発つ行家を見送ると、小町は一人庵へと戻っていくのでした。

Kyogen (Okura style) [Bunsumo]

A daimyo who has only one servant sends Tarokaja to look for a new servant. Tarokaja just happens to meet a man who is looking for a place to serve and takes him home with great joy. It shows that men can do any job. When the daimyo hears that he can compete in sumo, he is anxious to see it, but since he has no opponent, he decides to try it himself. The ostentatious feudal lord makes it seem like he has a large number of servants, tries to test the loyalty of a newcomer, and devises secret strategies to win at all costs in a game he cannot afford to lose.

[ Parrot Komachi ]

Yoseiin, the emperor who loved waka, was an excellent poet. I try to select and collect them, but they don't come together as expected. Suddenly remembering Ono Komachi, who was once famous as a great poet, he entrusts a song to the new Dainagon Yukiie and sends a messenger to Komachi. However, at the age of 100, Komachi lived a desolate life as a beggar madwoman at Sekiji Temple in Omi Province. When Yukiie reads the emperor's poem to Komachi, who can no longer see, Komachi remembers the glory of the past and composes the poem using the ancient parrot-gaeshi technique. I remembered the beautiful figure of Narihira Ariwara when he was alive and performed the dance. As the sun was setting, Komachi saw off Yukiie as he headed home, and returned to the Hitori-an.
