<Performance Details>
The old, stone-paved slope overlooking Nagasaki Port is known to locals as Kashinokizaka (Oak Tree Slope). This is due to the presence of an old oak tree said to be hundreds of years old.
At the Ashiha family home, located halfway up this hill, laughter was always there. Until that day...
On August 9, 1945, the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.
The oak tree seemed to have died in the bombing, but the following year it sprouted a single leaf, and thereafter a magnificent cluster of leaves spread all the way to the Ashiha family's garden, where this story takes place.
The story begins in 2000, 55 years after the end of the war.
How have the Ashiha sisters, who survived the atomic bombing, faced that day and lived their lives since the war began?
